My name is Julie Abrams and I have been working as a pediatric occupational therapist since 2002. I studied occupational therapy at Colorado State University, where I received my master's degree. One of my specialties is Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and I am SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing) certified. I have over 20 years of experience working with children. Before becoming an OT, I taught skiing in Steamboat, coached gymnastics, and was a camp counselor in the mountains of Colorado. I feel very fortunate to be able to incorporate my passions of running, swimming, biking, yoga, and cooking into my occupational therapy practice. Being an advocate for children and their parents, as well as a resource for families, is an essential part of my philosophy of practice.
My name is Marnie Adamson and I have enjoyed working as a
pediatric occupational therapist since 2003 when I received my master's degree
from the University of Puget Sound. Prior to entering the field of OT I worked
with children in a variety of capacities, including as a teacher. As an OT I
have worked in school settings from preschool through high school, in private
clinics and in home based therapy. I
particularly enjoy approaching OT from a holistic point of view, collaborating
and problem solving with the family to support the child’s development. I have obtained
continuing education training in reflex integration, including Masgutova
Neuromuscular Reflex Integration (MNRI) and Rhythmic Movement Training, the
S.O.S. Approach to Feeding, Bal-A-Vis-X, Handwriting without Tears, the
Wilbarger Protocol for Sensory Defensiveness, DIR/ Floortime, Child Space
Infant Developmental Movement, as well as a variety of other sensory
integration and regulation courses.
