Julie Abrams, MS, OTR

Julie Abrams, MS, OTR, has been a pediatric occupational therapist for over 20 years. She earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Colorado State University in 2002 and was fortunate to complete one of her student internships with Lois Hickman at JenLo Farm—where she continues to practice today.

Julie began her career working in a preschool and later expanded into clinic and Early Intervention settings, gaining experience across a variety of ages and needs. Over time, she gradually built her practice at the farm, where children can learn, grow, and thrive in a real-world, outdoor environment.

Julie is passionate about blending evidence-based occupational therapy with the natural rhythms of farm life, creating meaningful opportunities for children to build skills, confidence, and joy.

Amanda Betzen, MS, OTR

Amanda Betzen has enjoyed working as a pediatric occupational therapist since 2003 after earning her Master’s degree from Colorado State University. She has always loved working with children and prior to becoming an OT worked as a gymnastics instructor, camp counselor, and Special Olympics coach. Before working at the OT farm, Amanda spent 15 years as a school - based OT in Boulder Valley School District and worked with students with a wide variety of strengths and needs ranging in age from preschool up to age 21. Amanda grew up on a farm and  enjoys sharing her love of animals and being outside with children. Her approach is holistic and strengths based, and she highly values the power of collaborating with parents, families, school staff, and other providers. Another passion of Amanda's is practicing and teaching mindfulness - both to children and adults.
