Frequently asked questions
Occupational therapy helps children develop essential life skills. This includes improving fine and gross motor skills, visual perception, core strength, attention span, social skills, handwriting, self-care, feeding, and sensory processing. Our therapists use meaningful activities to support your child's growth and independence.
Our practice stands out because we incorporate nature-based activities into therapy sessions. Children spend time outdoors, engaging in real-life tasks like raking hay or feeding animals. These activities help improve core strength, coordination, balance, and sensory processing, while also teaching responsibility and independence.
Sensory processing disorder (SPD) occurs when the nervous system misinterprets sensory information, like sounds, smells, or textures. This can lead to challenges in daily activities, behavior, social interactions, and motor skills. Understanding SPD helps us support children in managing these difficulties.
